Everything You Need to Know About Pets at Serena Vista

Pets are an integral part of everyday life for a lot of people in America. Did you know that about 85 million families in the US own pets? That is a lot of people that need homes that can accommodate their beloved animals. Are you a part of one of those families with a furry friend? If you are, read on.

We at Serena Vista Apartments recognize the benefits of having pets, and we are here to tell you all about why we love pets, which ones we welcome, and, most importantly, what amenities we have to offer!!

The Benefits of Pets

First off, at Serena Vista, we recognize how important having a pet is to your health and mental well-being. Pets are loveable bundles of affection, and their adorable antics can brighten anyone’s day. But it’s not just common sense that says so. Research by the CDC reports that having a pet lowers blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and triglycerides. Your pet actually makes you healthier. Not to mention that when you have a pet, you also have a great reason to get on your feet and be active every day. Pets help you make sure you are getting enough exercise, which keeps your heart healthy and your body running smoothly.

It is also proven that pets help keep you company and much more content than you would be on your own. A study of 148 college women found that those who owned pets had lower loneliness scores on the UCLA Loneliness Scale . All this goes to show that pets have quantifiable power to make us happier.

Pets at Serena Vista

Here at Serena Vista, we love pets! That is why we try our hardest to create a pet-friendly atmosphere throughout our whole complex. We want your furry best friend to feel welcome when you come to live with us. We just have a few rules to make sure you and your pet, as well as the other members of the community, are comfortable. First, when you move in, make sure your pet is permitted by our management. Luckily, all cats are allowed, as are most dog breeds up to 50 pounds that are not on our restricted breed list. Hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, and other small pets are also permitted but must be caged and kept in a sanitary condition. Second, if your pet does not fall into those categories, it must be approved individually by management, but you shouldn’t worry about getting approval.

Pet Amenities

Once you and your pet are with us, Serena Vista has many amenities to offer you and your pet. If you have a pet that needs to be walked, you should take advantage of the many little paths around the complex. They are very convenient and not too strenuous for a small animal, and we’ve placed stations for disposing of pet waste throughout the community. If you have had a busy day, you can get your daily walk in without having to go too far.

However, If you are looking for a place to go that is a little more spacious, you can check out Mile Square Park . Situated only a mile away from our complex, it connects to a golf course and has abundant land for your dog to play fetch and chase squirrels. There are also two smaller parks, Green Valley Park and Colony Park , within walking distance of Serena Vista. They both have green space for your dog to run around, and, as an added bonus, you can make getting to them a part of your pet’s exercise.

We love your pets already and want to make sure they have as enjoyable an experience as you do! If you think Serena Vista is right for you and your pets, come and see us! We would be happy to show you why we are a perfect place to live if you are looking for a pet-friendly apartment!
